China
The deepest component supply base in Asia, and the easiest country to check a company's paperwork in.
Vietnam
Capacity has grown fast since 2018. The equipment is often new, and the quality systems are often newer than the equipment.
Thailand
The most industrialised manufacturing base in Southeast Asia, with the certification depth to match, and a price that is rarely the cheapest.
Malaysia
Penang runs one of the most concentrated electronics manufacturing bases outside Shenzhen, with strong systems, English documentation, and a deep multinational supplier tree.
Philippines
Real manufacturing exists, but it is thinner than Vietnam or Thailand. Most suppliers here are trading companies or smaller plants tied to specific multinationals, so the supplier list is short and worth verifying carefully.
